The Beautiful Colors of Pearls

June 4, 2014 by Melissa

Have you spent your entire life wearing only one or two colors of pearls? There is a huge universe of pearl jewelry options open to you, so why not try a few of them out for yourself? When moving away from your steady jewelry color choices, you may feel a bit out of place at first, but that feeling will quickly subside. However, if you still aren’t sure if you really love the new color of pearl, but want to try it out anyway, there are two ways to do it.

Buying below your normal price range

When trying out a new jewelry color, one great way to do so is by starting small. When you are thinking about pearls, this means trying out the new color on a smaller item, like a pair of stud earrings or a bracelet. Additionally, you can opt for a smaller diameter pearl, which will give you an idea of how you like the look, but without a large investment upfront.

Go somewhere that has a great return policy

There is nothing more disappointing than making a large purchase and not being able to return it. When you are testing out a new color palette (or even an option with mixed colors), the best way to do it is to know that you can return the item if you are unsatisfied. This will let you pick the exact piece of jewelry that you want, without having to worry about the potential downsides of not being able to get your money back if you are unsatisfied.

If you plan on ringing in a new season with a fantastic new pearl color, there are only two rules that you need to remember. Start small to get an idea of how the new pearls will play into your existing wardrobe, and make sure that your store has an excellent return policy that will let you try out the pearls for a bit before committing.
